Raised in a fairly small town in Florida, Chloe Morgan spent a lot of time on stage. It was something she loved the minute she stepped in the spotlight during a play in kindergarten. Sure, it was just to stand there dressed as a flower or some other inantimate object but it was the start of what would become a life-long love. Charles and Marie Morgan were the type of parents who always encouraged their only daughter to find creative things to do, even if it meant being in every school play she could get herself into. Eventually it moved on to auditioning for local commercials and even a few that made it to the national level. Some parents were of the opinion that Marie was pushing her daughter into acting but that wasn't the case at all. If there was something Chloe didn't want to do, then she wouldn't do it. And as much as she loved being on stage or in front of a camera, she still found the time to do the same things her friends were doing. All in all, she wasn't missing out on anything.

She graduated from the theatre program at Florida State University and decided it was time to move away from her parents. There just weren't any big opportunities where she was at and to be honest, Chloe wanted a change of pace. It was the first step in a long process and she knew it but it was something that she needed to do for her own sake. And so, not too long after getting her college degree, Chloe made the move to Chicago. It wasn't easy and she struggled a lot during that first year but she also learned a lot about herself. She learned that she could actually handle a lot of things on her own. She found her own little group of friends that were everything from struggling actors to lawyers to everything in between. Acting was still high on her list but it took a good year before she landed an agent who could help her with commercials or plays or anything going on within the general Chicago area. Sure, Chloe wasn't rolling in the money or anything but she was at least making enough that made her feel like she could actually make it on her own doing something she really enjoyed. To offset the cost of being a struggling actor, Chloe also picked up a waitressing job at a fairly upscale restaurant.

It was there that she met her ex-boyfriend. He was a nice enough guy who had just finished up his psychology degree at NYU and had made the move to Chicago for work. He was working in the restaurant to pay off his student loans. The two of them hit it off pretty quickly and it wasn't long before they seemed attached at the hip. Chloe was almost sure that she had met the person that she could see herself getting actually serious with. There had been a few relationships before in her life but this one seemed serious. Daniel was the type of guy who seemed to have everything together and also seemed like he was almost ready to settle down. The two of them were together for six months before the relationship hit its one and only serious snag: Chloe discovered she was pregnant. It was definitely a surprise and while she hadn't expected Daniel to be jumping up and down on the furniture in his apartment, she had expected him to be a little supportive.

Needless to say, she found herself single and alone not too long after finding out about the pregnancy. There was the obscure thought about not keeping the baby but in the end, she knew she couldn't do it. There was also a thought or two about moving back to Florida to be closer to her family. It was a tempting thought as well, since she was pretty terrified to be doing all of it on her own so suddenly. But Chloe had always been a bit stubborn and quickly pushed all thoughts of moving back to Florida out of her mind. It took some doing to find an apartment that would be big enough for her and the baby that would eventually be joining her. It also meant working her ass off to pay for all the bills that she was acquiring. But she found that she was pretty lucky to have a job that cared about its employees and she was pretty lucky to have the friends and family that she did.

March 11, 2007 brought probably the best thing ever to happen to Chloe. It was a long day and one that started out pretty boring and normal but ended with Aidan James being brought into the world. There weren't any words she could find that could describe it all except for overwhelming. She wasn't sure what she was doing with a baby, other than she was doing something completely wrong but things started to fall into its place. Being a single mother hasn't been easy and it certainly hasn't been pretty but Chloe has found that it's not so bad a lot of the time. Asked if she would change anything about the last year of her life; the answer is always 'no' because in the end she knows she's doing something that's pretty great. Acting is on the back burner for now and is still something she strives to get back into but Chloe knows that there are other important things that need to be concentrated on. For now, she's content where she is in her life and nothing is as important as making sure that Aidan grows up happy and healthy.
